"Forever Never"

I thought I knew the things of life
The things that mattered dearly
I thought I had all I needed
Wrong I was you showed me clearly

I was caught by not a look
Nor by a turning head of wonder
I was caught instead by a heart
One that made mine fonder

Amazed I was by your care
And more even by your giving
Amazed again by your selflessness
Overflowing by your filling

With you my life contained
Feelings of new sensations
With you my life let go
My every day frustrations

Slowly did I learn
The heart of your desires
Slowly did I shun
My own I thought was larger

Taken completely by your hand
And the fingers of your heart
Taken wholly by surprise
Entirely we became one part

From then my life was ours
Intertwined at every detail
From then I changed my being
Your heart my soul entails

Even now words can't describe
The love you've poured on me
Even now my tounge can't speak
The being I've come to be

Take this love and words by heart
Forgive my faults and blunders
Take this poem and its truth
May it leave you with no wonders

Wholeheartedly have I written
And sincerely have I gave
Wholeheartedly my heart is yours
And yours I will forever save

Out of joy these words I write
And from my heart I dearly say
Embrace me with your love
And forever my days are made

Memories tend to fade
As do gifts come to pieces
But forever never lose
The love that leaves us speechless
